Chameleon Research & Development (Australia) Pty Ltd, is in essence, formulated to promote the design and construction of sustainable and affordable building options encompassed in a framework of social and environmental considerations. 

This modular system is world first technology and innovation and has been design registered with IP Australia.  The basic design concept of multi modular units built solely in concrete, which are linked together on site, means pre-casting can be carried out near the required site in a mobile fully integrated production plant. This system can be adapted to a multitude of uses, especially in remote areas, because of the low cost of construction compared to conventional methods.

The vision is to demonstrate and display the entire process - from the building of the structures right through to the supply of power and waste management which is autonomous and can be replicated in regional/remote communities across Australia and potentially the World, using all Australian invented, designed and manufactured building systems.

There is broad opinion that the potential for the “Moulds” to be utilised by communities across the world is enormous. The need to demonstrate their relevance has led to the establishment of a real working site that allows potential clients and investors the opportunity to visit and see, first hand, this building system in use.

A demonstration / base for the production plant is being established in Rockhampton, Central Queensland, where research and development of the manufacturing processes will be continually trialled and improved. This base will also allow for the establishment of a sales outlet for the Chameleon products and complimentary products, which, in the future will form an integral part of the overall marketing plan.

The demonstration, marketing and sales facility for the modular panel structures will be the corner stone of the overall operation. Chameleon Research & Development Pty Ltd intends to encourage the demonstration and sale of complimentary products within this site like renewable energy producing systems such as solar panels, wind turbines, composting toilets, grey water systems and pre-fabricated ‘flat-panel’ internal fittings.
