Applications

Market research is ongoing and the potential use for this construction method is only limited by the imagination of the users.

Early indications have revealed demand from owner builders for housing solutions, from Councils and Main Roads for park shelters and toilet blocks, from Caravan Park owners for cabins, shelters and toilet blocks as well as for storage sheds.

Investigations are continuing into the construction of two storey and higher buildings.

A Building System for Everyone
There are a lot of prefabricated building solutions on the market at present but there are none that can claim to be wholly free standing and providing such a wide range of benefits including low maintenance, a much longer life-cycle, improved acoustics and thermal performance.

New Homes – owner builders have expressed extensive interest in this system.  Walls and Roofs are erected in no time and the owner builder can then either fit it out themselves or contract one of our team to do this for them.  Alternatively we can contract to construct and fit out.

Stables – for the serious horse breeder and race clubs as well as the not so serious horse breeder who just wants a safe environment for their horse –  Considerably Cooler…Minimal Maintenance…Minimal Corrosion…Longer Life Span…22% Larger Stables and Feed Rooms…Superior Appearance and Easy to Clean.

Caravan Park Owners – have shown an interest in this system for cabins, amenities blocks, shade shelters and storage sheds  – they are cool in summer and warm in winter, withstand strong winds and are virtually indestructible – no longer will they need to keep replacing gyprock walls after tenants have damaged them.  Also chemical admixtures to the concrete can prevent salt absorption which causes concrete damage making it ideal for coastal environments.

Self Storage Units – a boom industry a present – and this building system can offer strong, insulated and virtually indestructible storage, with its individual module fire retention capacity, at a very competitive price.

Shade Shelters and Storage Sheds – for public parks and roadside rest areas, schools and sportsgrounds – providing a virtually indestructible structure.  Also chemical admixtures to the concrete can prevent salt absorption which causes concrete damage making it ideal for coastal environments.

This building product is only limited by your imagination
  • Affordability – low cost of construction compared to conventional methods
  • By using readily available transportable components, the modular constructions are quick to erect and do not rely on highly specialised skilled labour
  • No requirement for gyprock or panelling, reducing the cost further.
  • The wall panels contain inbuilt preformed concrete guttering and down pipes, meaning there is no need for a galvanised gutter.
  • Concrete is a robust and durable material requiring very little maintenance.
  • It is an innovative and environmentally appropriate material.
  • Long-term maintenance is dramatically reduced.  Concrete reduces the repair and on-going maintenance costs of the finished product.
  • The houses represent sustainable living using renewable energy, harvesting rainwater and minimising waste.
  • It takes a day to assemble the wall panels for a five module home and a day to place the five ‘lightweight’ roof panels.
  • Concrete’s inherent thermal mass is used to keep the house cool in summer and warm in winter.
  • Rainwater capture is integrated into the design of the concrete gutters and downpipes to suit client requirements.
  • Concrete has a very long shelf-life.  The Pantheon in Rome, which is made of concrete is nearly 1,900 years old.
  • The openness of the planning and the potential to expand and contract the concrete house design to suit a variety of social needs, weather conditions and environments will ensure that it will be relevant to future generations.
  • The concrete structure is C4 cyclone rated, fire, termite and vandal resistant.
  • And the list will just keep on growing as more research is done.

What's Your Big Idea

Traditional Roofing

Alternatives to the traditional house……..

This two storey option would also be beneficial in known flood or cyclone risk areas – houses could be built with knowledge that the ground floor could or would be flooded, so when the time came, allow the water to pass through and once this has receded, hose down, bring the furniture back from upstairs and start living in it again. No need to replace walls.
